It’s not about you. I know that is sometimes hard to hear, but it’s true. God’s gifts for you don’t come because you’ve done some good thing, or you’ve been good lately, or just because you’ve done something better than the person sitting next to you. No, God’s gifts to you, his forgiveness, his unwavering love, his mercy, his eternal life are all found in one place, in one person, in one Lord, Jesus Christ, Crucified, Buried, and Risen for you.  This weekend I’ll begin the first of a two-part series from John 6.
