Father’s Day is intended to lift up and celebrate our dads and show them how much we love them.  Fatherhood is a relationship created by God to provide, protect, guide, and love.  Indeed, we should give thanks for our Dads!  However, because we live in a fallen world, not every relationship between father and child is celebrated.  Some people have lost their fathers. Some men desire to become a father, but are unable.  Some fathers no longer have relationships with their children. Yet, our Heavenly Father seeks to have an enduring relationship with his children and calls us his own.  While our relationship with Him might become strained at times, He is always faithful to it and lavishes us with His never ending love.
