The words “Peace to this house!” have many happy connotations. Is there peace in your house? In the house next door? In the house of your children and grandchildren? Is there peace in the house of our church? Is there peace inside you? We pray that our nation remains at peace as we celebrate our nation’s independence. However, peace in our houses, in our churches, our country and in our lives is often elusive and fleeting.

This weekend, Pastor Tom reminds us that we are invited by Jesus himself to participate in a great venture of faith, the proclaiming of God’s peace to the world.
