Dec 21-22 “What’s In A Name?” – Lutheran Weekend Worship Services

“What’s in a name?” That’s a question we also ask, because a name contains a lot of information. Names have meaning. During this Advent season we have been considering some names. Immanuel means “God with us” and promises one who will bring God’s very presence among us. Sar Shalom means “Prince of Peace” and announces the coming of one who delivers to us peace with God and peace with one another. Nezer means “Branch” and points to one who will restore the reign of God. All of these are names of the promise.  And so, appropriately, Isaiah provides yet another name of the promise—Yeshuah.  Listen-In or Watch the story behind, “What’s in this name?”
