Sometimes we gather information based on what we hear from others who might even have been eyewitnesses. Yet even when we gather  all this information, we place our own thoughts and understanding on the facts in order to make sense of the situation.  However, even when we do this our eyes might not be fully opened to the total truth. We might be missing the main point, preventing us from seeing the full picture.

The same is true with the disciples who were talking about the events around Jesus’ death and resurrection. They had all the facts, though some of them weren’t quite right. But yet they lacked something. Thankfully, their visitor along the road help open their eyes. Come and worship with us this weekend to see how these disciples eyes, and our own eyes can be opened to the truth.
