Have you ever gone out to your garden to pull weeds and had a hard time distinguishing what is a weed and what is a plant? Sometimes weeds have very colorful flowers on them, and they seem abundant and thriving, just like actual flowers and plants. Yet these weeds are enemies of the plants. It seems as though their sole purpose is to take over and choke out the flowers or plants. So as gardeners, we view the weeds as enemies and seek to pull them out and eradicate them in order to allow the flowers and plants to flourish.
How about people? Is it possible to look at a group of people and distinguish who is a Christian and who is an unbeliever? Absolutely not. Maybe at times, especially in our current times, it may seem like unbelievers are looking to choke out Christianity by forwarding their own agenda. Should Christians stand up and seek to eradicate the unbeliever and their agenda? Should the Christian pull up the weeds? Well Jesus tells a story about wheat and weeds. The weeds look very similar to the wheat that grows right alongside the wheat. Listen-In or Watch, as Pastor Warren discusses some of Jesus’ gardening tips.
