Our Lutheran Schools Week emphasis this year is that we also are to be Jesus’ servants. Because Jesus served us with His life, we are given the joy of serving Him by serving others.

Jesus sees things differently in his kingdom. He sees service, helping others, and sacrifice rather than power, might, and glory. Jesus sees his kingdom as one of the cross, not glory, but servanthood. Jesus sees his kingdom through God’s eyes and those eyes see people in God’s kingdom helping, sacrificing, and serving others.
