May 23-24 Weekend Worship – Memorial Day And A Birthday

On Memorial Day, we remember 70 wars that we have fought starting with the mid-18th century French and Indian wars. In our thirteen major and 60 or so “minor” wars, approximately 1,500,000 soldiers have died to protect our freedom.

On the day of Pentecost, 120 followers of Jesus gathered in Jerusalem when suddenly the Spirit of God filled each one of them and marked them with tongues of fire. On that day the Church was born.

As we begin worship today, consider the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can gather without fear. Today we believe, teach, pray, and sing as we choose. Listen-In or Watch as Pastor Tom honors those whom have served and those who haven fallen for our freedom on this Memorial Day.
