Often fathers are a source of strength for their children, especially in crisis situations through life’s storms. As their children, we would not hesitate to wake our dad up from a nap in order to alert him to our crisis, looking for him to solve the problem. Sometimes we mistake our father’s silence as indifference to our situation, just as the disciples thought of Jesus as he lay asleep in the boat during a fierce storm. Let’s explore the fatherly lessons Jesus has for his disciples and us.
