Today’s psalm exudes confidence in God, our refuge in time of trouble. Jesus knew this as He was tempted in the wilderness, though it was Satan who tried to use Scripture to tempt our Lord. When the Israelites would enter the Promised Land, the wilderness would be behind them, a trek through which God had kept them secure in His protection. Their first harvest would be tangible proof.
