Apr 29/30 – A Perfect Remedy – Lutheran Weekend Worship

The world has had remedies for sin and evil throughout the centuries, but they are all futile. Peter reminds us that gold and silver could not have saved us from our sins, but only the precious blood of Christ. The Jewish leaders in Jerusalem thought death by Roman crucifixion would silence our Lord’s condemnation of their futile ways. It would take nothing less than repentance and Baptism into His name to be saved. And who could blame even the disciples for figuring that Jesus’ death belied their hopes and dreams? In the breaking of the bread, the risen Christ set aside all their gloom and brought them to endless joy— joy that is ours today. Listen-In or Watch below:
