Simeon longed to see the Messiah. His faithfulness paid off as he was blessed not only to see His Lord as Jesus parents presented him at the temple, but he also beheld his salvation in his own hands. Such a special blessing for Simeon, as a faithful man. We too are blessed to behold our salvation each time we received Christ’s body and blood at Communion.
